BEAUTIFUL BLOGGERS - THANK YOU!

I surf blogs for inspiration just like I surf magazines for inspiration.

I've got a hankering for B L U E

This guy on the right, with the mini tea set is Henry. I bought him in Jacksonville, Oregon for $150 bucks - my friends thought I was nuts, but I just love the creativity behind Henry's design.

Do you ever get "into colors"? I do. On a regular basis, particular colors will catch my intrigue... or color combo's like pink & blue, or chartruse & black. Lately, it been blue. I'm noticing all things baby-blue. I don't have much blue in my house. So I did a mini tribute to blue on my kitchen island.

All That Glistens

Ohh the glamour of mercury glass... (my new fetish) isn't it lovely!

Pro Bass Shop

NEWS FLASH! Pro Bass Shop is for chicks too! Tommy wanted to take me to dinner at the new Pro Bass Shop at Victoria Gardens. Well I thought to myself, "hhmmm...(eye roll)this should be interesting". Well it was! The resturant is awesome, and the store has a live trout stream running through it - extremely cool!

DAISY

I just love this girl! She has ears that are softer than velvet (no joke!)

It's Winburr Time! It SNOWED in my neighborhood!

Rain and chilly weather has been the perfect backdrop for crocheting after work in the evenings. I wanted a winter bag, so I came up with this frosty blue number trimmed in cardinal red.

Magical Mission Inn

The morning started with Tom cooking us a delicious breakfast! Then after a few chores around the house we were off to see the Mission, the wonderful Mission of OZ - (never found a Wizard, but there were plenty of Elves lurking around!)

The Magical Mission Inn

Our room... we took a tour of the Inn and they said there are no 2 rooms alike... it was fun to walk around the many pathways within the courtyard.

Pampering at Kelly's Spa

This could be a new fetish for me! Kelly's Spa at the Mission Inn is SO classy! We had a couple's message. They asked us to arrive a 1/2 hour early, where we changed into robes - sat in a eucalyptus steamroom, and then met together in the "relaxtion lounge", that was stocked with fresh fruit/nuts & hot tea - then they would come get you from there for the message. After the message, we returned there to have our lunch. It was a great time together, just complete relaxation.

Close-up of Abalone Theater

I believe that hand-crafted gifts are the most precious. Don't get me wrong, store bought things are great too, but I find the handmade gift more meaningful. I have a lovely stack of abalone shells from Tom's abalone diving when we lived in the Bay area. He really trys to be "King of the Sea", so I turned him into King Neptune. Of course no King is complete w/o his trusty Merdog - truly a King's best friend! Yes, a bit kooky... but Tom has had 9 years with an artsy-kook so he's use to it.

Anniversary Weekend

I love PRESENTS! These are our presents to each other. Daisy gave her Daddy a paperweight with her first grade picture in it - darling! Snillard & Marty gave Daddy Tommy Bahama gift fragrance pack. Tommy gave me Coco Chanel fragrance pack, and I made him a blanket & abalone theater paper-art. The real gift to each other was our night at the Mission Inn...

Anniversary Weekend

What an awesome anniversary weekend Tom & I had. Saturday morning we went to BS, then out in the ministry. A lot of yard sales happening in the neighborhood that morning. The street we were going door to door on, had one, and the gentleman was pretty chipper. He sold me a brand new Kathy Ireland chandelier for 5 bucks! Just wait it gets better... after service we were heading to my work so I could check my testers and on the way Tom goes "oh yeah there's an auction right next to Chris's work". So we stop by. It turns out that this guy sold a pawn shop, but the new owner did not want the inventory so he had to liquidate it himself. So he set up all these tables with stuff to sell. I felt like I was in the Pirates of the Caribbean - lot's of costume jewelry! Score! It was like the equivalent of YEARS of yard-saleing. Tom got tools for great prices too. And he bought me the jewels as well. It was just so much fun!
